I have much to catch up on in regards to fandoms, entertainment news and you, my f-list friends.

But here's some tidbits with what's happened to me lately & other thoughts, on good and bad things:

UNI KID//

I got my timetable and student card yesterday. I'm might impressed with the picture, despite the crappy pic quality from their crappy webcam. And I've got my classes on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; with Thursday being the only day when I have to wake up at 6, the other days I start at 11 and 3. VERY HAPPY WITH THAT!!

I officially start next Monday so good luck to me with that.

Oh and I'm the dorkiest dork out but I'm loving fixing my personal timetable at the moment *facepalms*

-----------------------------------------------------------------

GRAMMY AWARDS//
Haven't had a chance to check all the performances and who actually won. But I'm disappointed JMraz didn't win [not that I didn't know who he was actually up against]. And is exxxxxxxtreeeeeeeemeeeeeellllllllllly loving this

To get that ready with a late notice...it's why I love being an amateur musician, lol.

and on the side RIHANNA & CHRIS BROWN//
However the heck you spell her name...but ZOMGOSH O.O
That's pretty bad.

And bite marks? WHAT THE WHAT?!

THE VICTORIAN BUSH FIRES//
The enormity of this natural disaster has been jaw dropping. The visuals of people seeing the damage the fires have inflicted on their houses is heart breaking.
Throughout the past couple of days, it's been on the news non stop. Yesterday was the last time I heard the death toll. It was up to 189, with reports saying it would pass 300.

While getting ready to go to the city yesterday morning, I finally got the chance to watch some of the morning coverage. There was this story from the day before of a guy who was appealing to anyone who could get him to his residence in the mountains as he was looking for his wife and 3 children. The police blocked off the area as it was still a crime scene. [I'll refrain myself from lashing out at the pathetic lives of arsonists in this post.]

When I was watching it, the reporter on site had been told by the guy's best mate that they had found 3 bodies in the house.
That alone, got me teary eyed. My heart just sank.

These people had no warning about this ferocious firestorm. Heaps of accounts have said that it crossed through communities in a matter of minutes.

I remember one guy saying that in his hometown, there were 200 homes. After the fires, only 3 remained.

I can't begin to imagine how these people are feeling; having lost their possessions, livelihood and even the physical symbols of memories.

The Rudd Government has allocated $10 million to the victims. I don't know if he's added more since.
But the Red Cross appeal has managed to attain over $33.5 million in the past couple of days.
I was listening to the Hamish and Andy show on the way home yesterday, and in about 6 hours, they raised over $2 million

And the Red Cross blood appeal has been astounding. They said their monthly average was 1,500 people declaring their interest in donating blood. On tuesday, I heard that they received 13,000 inquiries in the past 2 days.

In these times of struggle and uncertainty, people stand their ground together and bring out the best in each other.
It will take quite a while for the Victorians to recover, but at least they know that the whole Australia is right there with them.

In today’s edition;

Ashlloyd, Kismets, Roger Federer & the Happy Slam and random tidbits [Ross Gellar, 24, The Veronicas rant]

--------------------------------------------------

OH-EM-GEE! *jumps in joy, runs around flailing, squeetastic sounds...the normal symptoms*

So the reason I’m having an omgosh-spaz-attack is because I have received enormous amounts of intel [coz I’m still in the 24 mood] relating to my two filo pairings-

John Lloyd Cruz//Sarah Geronimo | Sam Milby//Anne Curtis.

Thanks to Ashlloyds and Kismets at the PEX forums.
Star Cinema and ABS-CBN

SHALL I DEBRIEF YOU? [EXTREME LEVELS OF ASHLLOYD-KISMETS FANGIRL ACTIVITY )

Australian Open a.k.a “The Happy Slam

God bless you Roger Federer for nicknaming it that. And for making the point clear that ethnic violence has no place in the game.

The incident that Federer was referring to occurred last Friday, where groups of people were engaging in physical fights  with each other after the Djokovic [Serbian]/Delic [Bosnian born American] match. One lady got caught up in the violence, getting knocked unconscious from a flying chair.

It’s only in recent years that the Australian media has had to cover stories of racial conflict and violence; the most notorious one being the “Cronulla Riots” in 2005.

I don’t understand why some nationalities degenerate into these stupid arguments. Well actually, I kinda do. Sometimes, it’s their lack of intellect. Other times it’s what they have been brought up with, especially in regards to history and past conflicts. But please, just get with the times! So for all those in the minority that cross the line of national pride to supposed racial superiority,  just flub off!

On other tennis news:

Roger, DON’T. SCARE. ME. AGAIN.

Jelena Dokic, GO YOU GOOD THING! Her next opponent, Safina, will be very tough to beat. But you’ve done well.

Andy Murray, bwahahahahahahaha to those bookies that thought he was going to win.

James Blake, *tear* too bad you were up against Tsonga [who’s absolutely adorable also]. I’ll miss you, lol. And get rid of the over sized shirt.

Random Tidbits

Chandler is my favourite from “Friends” and now Ross is a closer second because of these videos. Was I a bad 90’s child for not watching the show religiously? Anyway, I’m catching up now and these are the best.

</lj-embed></lj-embed></lj-embed>

Channel 7 has decided to show 24 Season 7. HECK YES! But I swear, if they can the awesomeness, I’m going to hurt someone. It’d be best if I continue downloading the season huh? Oh and news of a possible return for Audrey [Kim Raver] in season 8...I don't know how to react to that; you had your chance. I guess I'm secretly hoping that something may take of for Jack and Renee and then the girls will have a cat fight. *Mr Burns 'excellent' hands*

WHY for the love of hot men, do people think Hugh Jackman is gay?

UBER LOLZ for this
Someone should start a charity to look after her and her sister. They call themselves role models to the youth but they can't even take care of themselves. They used to be cute. But then they went all 'hardcore' with the soft porn, lesbionic ways and quick break ups. AND THEY PLAY THEM ON THE EDGE 96.1. BLAS-FREAKIN-PHEMY!

Hello there friends. A very, very, belated Merry Christmas/Happy New Year to you all [When do you think is the cut off date to say that to someone you haven't greeted yet?] It’s just been waaaaaay too long without a post from yours truly. I’ve just been too lazy and partially busy with setting up the New Year and stage in my life. Before I ramble on about my plans [which will probably end up being tomorrow’s blog because I’ll go overboard on this one], here’s my commentary on...Obama, 24, ‘loves of my life’ update, Australian Open, New music, Oscars '09

[OBAMA] )

[24] )

[Loves of my life in '09] )

[AUSTRALIAN OPEN '09] )[WHAT'S ON HIGH ROTATION?] )

[OSCARS '09] )
I think that's more than enough for the first/second blog of the year. I promise to blog more regularly ['tis one of my new year's resolutions]. So I hope you're all well and catch ya later.
